CBN director Alhaji Muhammadu Kabiru Nuhu-Koko blames Nigerians for slow economic growth.
Says Nigerians should be more patriotic and stop going to Ghana to study.
Believes his attitude towards his wealth of less than N20 million is an example to follow.
A director at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabiru Nuhu-Koko, has inculpated Nigerians for the country’s slow economic magnification!
Concretely, he said expressed Nigerians are too selfish and disinclined to cast aside their personal desires for their country, which would be unpatriotic.
The director said it was inglorious that Nigerians were splashing immensely colossal sums of mazuma in Ghana to seek western erudition at the detriment of Nigeria’s economic magnification.

Nuhu-Koko said the country’s quest to find itself among the top 20 economies in the world will remain a mere fantasy if nothing changes.
Nuhu-Koko, who heads the project planning and implementation division of the CBN, said he controls N200 billion in his departmental budget but cannot even boast of having N20 million in his account.
“I supervise projects worth over N200 billion but I don’t have N20 million on my own apart from the house that government sold to me and another one in Lugbe that the bank bought and sold to staff which they are deducting,” he said.
“I don’t have any property in Abuja here. In fact, there was a time my budget was N200 billion but I cannot pass through here and see a billionaire, not at all.”
He called on Nigerians to think of investing in their homeland Nigeria, not foreign countries, as such development would create wealth for the nation.
“Nigerians are spending billions of naira in training their children outside this country. In Ghana alone, the amount of money Nigerians spend in training their children is more than the budget of the National Universities Commission (NUC).
”All the budget of NUC is for the Nigerian universities. Now, the budget of NUC is not up to the amount Nigerians are spending in training their children in Ghana, this is too bad” he said.
